- My uncle said he was able to do that and it was great for his physical therapy needs after having his knee replaced. Had to start slow and work up to his goals. 10.000 steps isn’t a likely daily goal for people with injuries or recovering from knee/hip replacements or for people who have to have a foot amputated. For example. (So the jerk who was being sarcastic/Snide about making 500 steps a goal needs to maybe keep that in mind before judging those that struggle to hit 500 steps.
